Designed by Alex Zabotto-Bentley, this beachside sanctuary boasts contemporary design throughout from strategically placed glass walls inside to overhanging greenery outside and massive circular daybeds next to the 27-metre pool. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor to maximise the views of the ocean and lush gardens, and there are surprises around every corner like rooftop lounges and a spa with a hidden plunge pool.
When you’re not taking dips in Noku Beach House’s pool, suntanning on the terraces overlooking the ocean, or heading out for a surf session, you can chill out in the huge open-plan living room overlooking the pool. Next door is the elegant dining room with a table that can seat up to 14 people, unique Asian artefacts on the walls, and windows that look out to the tropical garden. Behind the dining room is a sleek kitchen, wine room, and maître d’ station. The media room is an air-conditioned hideaway that can fit up to 20 people for movies on soft sofas. Walk past the koi ponds through a colonnade to get to the spa with its plunge pool in a walled garden.
The 27-metre pool is one of the most striking features of Noku Beach House, and the perfect place to cool off on hot days. On one side of the pool there is a wooden pool deck with circular oversized day beds and umbrellas and on the other side a grassy lawn with sun loungers. Multiple terraces have seating including a rooftop terrace that makes for a sublime spot to watch the sunset. The entertainment bale can be found towards the beach and has loungers and a dining area.
Perched on the second floor of the villa overlooking the Indian Ocean, the stunning master suite has a large terrace with chairs, tropical greenery, and a rooftop water feature that adds to the zen-like atmosphere. Soft mood lighting creates a serene space at night, and the king-sized bed is done up in the highest quality linens. The ensuite bathroom has its own garden courtyard, a bathtub, rain shower, and matching vanities.
The remaining guest suites at Noku Beach House are also on the second floor and offer either beach or garden views. Like the master suite, they have king-sized beds, fans and air-conditioning, flatscreen TVs, DVD players, and Void sound systems.
