Raja Mandaka Estate is the most exclusive of all the villas at Nihi Sumba. This sprawling estate has multiple standalone villas that overlook Nihiwatu Beach. The villas are designed in traditional Sumbanese style with pointed thatched roofs, solid wooden beams, and walls of windows that open to create a sense of endless space. When you’re not relaxing in your private sanctuary, you can commune with your group at the pool and the gorgeous outdoor entertaining spaces. Private paths will take you to the main areas of the resort like the restaurant, beach club, and communal pool.
The villas at Raja Mandaka Estate have been designed for the ultimate comfort with living rooms and lounge areas that you can escape to for some down time in cool air conditioning. The main house has an indoor living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and an elegant library for reading or catching up on emails. The Raja Marangga Duplex has a family room on the lower level that can be used as an indoor playroom or converted into an extra sleeping space.
The suites at Raja Mandaka Estate are pure luxury with plush canopied beds that offer views of the ocean, walk-in closets and ensuite bathrooms, some of which have outdoor showers and bathtubs. The main house has a standalone master bedroom and a full second bedroom. The Raja Marangga Duplex features two identical two-story villas, each with one bedroom on the top floor. Raja Kantar is perched high on the cliff above the other villas and has one bedroom on the top floor. Raja Lamba is a cottage-style accommodation with one bedroom that works perfectly as a romantic retreat for couples or as a guest villa.
At the heart of the estate is a long lap pool with an infinity edge that looks like it flows into the ocean. The pool is backed by a wooden deck with sun loungers. The main house also has a cold plunge pool for cooling off on hot days. Each of the villas also has its own wooden deck facing the beach and the ocean. The decks have sitting areas for enjoying morning coffee or sunset drinks. Paths lead from the villas down to the beach and other areas of the resort.
