Although the menu may be simple here, Five Monkeys gets it right with thick, juicy patties made with fresh beef, chicken or fish, fluffy homemade buns and their delicious sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. Grab a seat on the bar stools amid recycled wood tables and vintage beverage ads, and watch the chefs make your burger fresh to order in the open kitchen. You can also opt to sit outside on the patio and watch the action go by on Kuta’s busy Jalan Legian. We highly suggest the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger served with a side of curly fries and washed down with a cold beer.
Bo$$ Man
There’s just so much to love at this Seminyak burger bar located just next door to Sisterfields Cafe. First of all, the burgers at Bo$$ Man simply divine, as they are made with 60-day aged chuck steaks, slow cooked pork and lamb, or for the veggies, edamame, quinoa and sunflower seeds. Then there are the fries. Think hand-cut skinnies topped with truffles, porcini and shredded parmesan that melts the minute it hits the hot fries. Finally, the burgers are are globally inspired with imaginative toppings that range from kimchi to eggplant chutney, bone marrow emulsion and horseradish aioli.
The Butchers Club
‘Beers, burgers and bourbon’ is the motto at The Butchers Club, an award-winning burger institution brought to us by way of Hong Kong. Located just off Jalan Petitenget in Kerobokan, this warm and welcoming venue has a spacious 1,200 square-foot interior replete with an al fresco patio for people watching. Each burger is handcrafted in house, and can include your choice of a dry-aged beef patty, juicy slab of pork belly, or crispy fried king prawns. Be sure to save room for their delish duck fat fries.
Wacko Burger Cafe
Start with your choice of beef, chicken, fish or veggie patty, and then peruse the menu of burger creations for options like the Cheesy Bacon smothered in cheddar, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles and bacon slices, the Down Under with all of the above plus beetroot, egg, and crispy onion rings, or the OMFG with the usual veggies and lashings of fiery sambal terasi sauce. Accompany your burger with a side of wedges, chicken wings or caesar salad. Other main course options at Wacko Burger Cafe include fish & chips, steaks and sandwiches.
