Many people will already be familiar with BIASA’s clothing lines for men and women, which feature deconstructed pieces made with light natural materials that are ideal for tropical climates. The women’s collections include breezy pieces that drape the body in flattering cuts, while the men’s collections consist of finely tailored linen and cotton shirts, shorts, trousers and jackets that manage to be both casual and chic at the same time. You can pick up the latest BIASA pieces in their flagship Seminyak store as well as outlets in Ubud, Sanur and Jakarta.
Never one to rest on her laurels, Susanna Perini decided to take her creativity and passion for art one step further in 2005 with the BIASA ArtSpace, now located on the second level of the BIASA+ retail space in Seminyak. The space showcases art exhibitions by renowned and emerging contemporary Indonesian and international artists, and you can also find pieces from the BIASA ArtSpace collection throughout the different areas in the retail space. Works range from paintings to photographs, sculptures, installations, handicrafts and illustrations.

Celebrating 20 years this year, BIASA+ is the most recent offering from this innovative brand, and it is a two-storey treasure trove of eclectic fashion, artworks and homewares. Architecturally intriguing, you find that your eye roams from the recycled fittings to the rows of hanging orchids spilling down from the unique ceiling covered in orange terpal, a material used to harvest rice in Bali. The design and decor creates an effect that is visually stimulating yet pleasantly calming.
The ground level of the space is dedicated to clothing and accessories with the most current BIASA collections as well as apparel, jewellery, hats, scarves, sarongs from internationally acclaimed designers and vintage sunglasses. For those looking to express their individuality, this is the place to mix and match elegant attire with quirky and colourful pieces.
The second level of BIASA+ is home to the BIASA ArtSpace, which includes exhibitions, and the garden is a delightful sanctuary of unique housewares from around the world including handmade pots, pans, and rugs from India, along with eye-catching crockery, flowers and plants. BIASA+ also hosts a weekly market on Fridays in the garden where guests can purchase fresh organic produce, baked goods and artisan products made locally here in Bali.
